Huge Savings
Huge cost savings for rail services being crippled by rise in cable thefts:
The soaring price of copper has seen the railway industry targeted alongside utility companies, war memorials and even churches.
A year ago copper cost £3793 per tonne, now it is trading for £4838 and this has led to gangs stealing the cabling used for signalling.
In the first six months of the year there were 443 separate incidents of theft, compared to 558 for the whole of last year. Praetorian Services have been contracted and have successfully employed their specialist skill set of covert surveillance in the fight against cable theft, thereby gaining huge cost savings for the client.
